We're starting a new series today. These Oldtimer autos are the companion pieces to the the 'SS' (China) Model A Ford trucks we posted the past week or so. All of them were bought from the same hobby shop I used to frequent back in the day (ca1997-98) and all were out of the same counter display. Normally I like to try and identify just what kind of cars the toys were meant to represent but quite frankly there just isn't enough 'me' time to do that kind of research. These appear to be 1930-ish and may be Duesenberg's, Cadillac's, Mercedes', Pontiac's - whatever. Right now your guess is as good as mine. OR they may simply be representative of early cars and not actually modeled after any particular car.
There are seven cars with four different body styles and, as you'll notice in the photos in the days to come, some of these were the victims of careless storage by their owner (ahem - that would be me), but most of them are still in pretty decent shape after 20 years of abuse :-) Enjoy!
