Kellogg's UK Paper Village - Bakery

Today we continue looking at the built-up structures from the Kellogg's UK Paper Village that have been covered the past few months here on Toys & Stuff. When the pieces were still on the their sheets it was at times a little tricky trying to figure out just how many building there were but now that they're all built up it's much easier to figure out of course. The entire series consists of 7 1/2 buildings:

- Church
- Bakery
- Butcher and Grocer's combined
- Gas Station
- Inn
- Post Office
- School with attached loo a book store (this is the '1/2' building which attaches to the school by an archway)

Front and center this morning is the Bakery. It measures 4 1/2" (12.1cm) L x 4 1/4" (11.4cm) H x 3 7/8" (9.8cm) W. Some of the buildings in the series have doors that open and the Bakery is one of them having a small garage/delivery door that can displayed with open doors. The buildings are shown as built straight from the packaging without the use of glue. EXCEPT for the Bakery. I had to glue the stairs as they gave me a fair amount of grief. The treads are supposed to fit into slits on the side pieces but those slits are soooo narrow that the treads simply refuse to go in without a little help. I ended up neatly cutting those slits a  tad wider to accommodate the tread. As each tread was inserted, glue was applied underneath to keep everything from popping open. Allow the glue to set up first prior to attaching the next tread. The entire assembly was then glued to the side of the building. Next week, the Butcher/Grocer's shop. Until then - Enjoy!
