Marx UK Swansea Cottage

Today we feature a somewhat unusual piece of tin. Collector's refer to it as the Swansea Cottage and was made by Marx UK. It uses the same stampings as the large Roy Rogers style cabin with porch. While Marx had factories all over the world, they tended not to offer their line of tin-litho buildings outside of the United States, with exceptions, and this was one of them. The lithography is of the usual nice quality but it represents a very simple, unremarkable cottage. Perhaps buildings of this nature weren't offered outside the U.S. because the architecture is so American and foreign customers simply might not relate to it as readily. My particular cottage is missing the chimney. In any case it's still a nice piece. Enjoy!
